Edward Norton and his production company are developing a documentary about Barack Obama. Directors Amy Rice and Alicia Sams have been shooting footage since 2006, before Obama's declaration of candidacy when Norton and his group of collaborators approached Obama and he welcomed the idea. They've been steadily filming ever since.

Edward Norton is one of Hollywood's most enviro-friendly stars, but now he's going green in a different way: According to a story in today's Variety, Norton will play Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk. The movie, which has a tentative release date of June 2008, is Marvel's second recent attempt at bringing the Hulk to the big screen. Though 2003's Hulk sounded good on paper — thanks to director Ang Lee and hunky Eric Bana — it didn't fare very well at the box office.

Well, my original excitement over a Fight Club reunion with Edward Norton and Brad Pitt starring in State of Play has been dashed. First Pitt dropped out of the project and was replaced by Russell Crowe. Now Norton has decided to leave as well, with Ben Affleck in negotiations to replace him.

The Incredible Hulk may be about a superhero with a bad temper, but the stars of the movie were all about the smiles out on the green carpet at the Hollywood premiere last night. Lovely Liv kept up her streak of looking fab in her little blue dress, while Ed Norton just looked happy to have her on his arm. We can't wait to see those two on screen together, especially since they have nothing but love for each other in real life, too.

Fight Club reunion!
Brad Pitt and Edward Norton will share the screen again in State of Play, a film adaptation of the British miniseries. Kevin MacDonald, who did a phenomenal job with Last King of Scotland, will direct.

Edward stopped by the Sarasota Film Festival this week where he was honored with a Humanitarian award for his work for Hurricane Katrina relief. He may be one of the those big stars that kind of flies by under the radar but it sounds like that's about to all change. He's just signed on to play Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk.

That double Ed Norton in the title is not a typo; Leaves of Grass stars the talented actor in a dual role, as polar opposite twin brothers.
As twins, Norton really goes for it — one twin, Bill, is straight-laced, while the other, Brady, is a mulleted hick with a heavy Southern accent. I've missed Norton's presence, but I'm wondering if this is going to a be an amazing acting opportunity or an embarrassing diversion for him.

Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault happily walked down the aisle again on Saturday at Venice's opera house Teatro La Fenice. Salma looked gorgeous in a white Balenciaga wedding gown by Nicholas Ghesquiere. Valentina was a flower girl wearing a Bonpoint dress with Francois's children from his first marriage also participating in the black tie affair.

So much for a Fight Club reunion: Citing concerns about the script, Brad Pitt has decided not to star alongside Edward Norton in the star-studded political thriller State of Play. Despite discussions with studio heads and director Kevin Macdonald (Last King of Scotland), Pitt's issues with the script could not be resolved and he pulled out altogether, causing those involved to wonder if the project could go forward. Russell Crowe, now in final negotiations to replace Pitt, has apparently "saved" the studio from shutting down the project.
